Pleased with the quality and comfort of these brogues. I would suggest that the option of 'no tie' stretch lacing be offered. Because of age I sometimes have a little difficulty in tieing shoe laces and have changed to this option myself. Certainly made things a lot easier for me.

Buying shoes - especially on line - can be an extremely painful experience. You made it easy, enjoyable, and very personal - something that is extremely rare for an online transaction and, I’m finding more and more, when shopping in store. And how is it that I can get a pair of shoes quicker when sent from Australia than I can from anywhere in the US??!! I think I know from who / where I’ll be buying my next pair …
I’ll be thinking happy thoughts every time I wear my Alphas … which will be often!!
These are quality shoes, beautifully crafted at a reasonable price. However the leather is very rigid and the shoes are heavy, so they will take time to break in (old school). As a result the first three weeks of wearing them has been a bit of an endurance test. I will persevere because I have had plenty of compliments on the unique look - brogues with a trainer sole.
Hello Martin, thanks for the purchase and review. The upper leather is made with box calf and fully lined with soft calf leather. The rubber sole is solidly built to withstand years of heavy wear.
